I have decided to write this report due to the circumstances we are living through at the present time here in Turkey.
Bad news in general that will be affecting every company that is exporting mattresses from the country in general.
After us being able to hold our mattress prices steady for the past three years we had the shock of our lives at the last factory meeting where we were told the price of foam used in our production lines, has gone up in price by a grand total of 80%. Our final decision was that we need to add a total of 30% to our export prices which means that we are no longer able to compete with the more available and cheaper goods that China is currently producing.
So, I will take this opportunity to thank those stupid people, not to mention any names, who have instigated the current war that is destroying not only the internation trade markets but the lives of people all over the world.
